Peek-a-boo

Oakland Zoo

We recently visited the Oakland Zoo and had a blast. We went once before when Jeremy was about 6 months old and it was more of a trip for us than him. This time he enjoyed watching the animals and could make the sounds for a lion, tiger, and monkey.

Doesn't this look like a person in a monkey suit! The monkeys were on fire the day we visited, they put on quite a show.

Attack of the birds...

For those of us who grew up in Seal Beach El Dorado Park holds happy memories of feeding the ducks. Grandma and Grandpa wanted to share that peaceful experience with Jeremy. Well, in the past 30+ years the ducks have multiplied quite well. The birds swarmed Jeremy when he arrived with his bread. Luckily Grandpa was there to protect him!

The Long Beach Aquarium

During our Christmas trip to Seal Beach we visited the Long Beach Aquarium. Jeremy had a blast seeing all the fish and sea animals. But overall he loved most touching everything he could with his little hands. Like....

The mantarays with Dad.

The fish with Mom, Aunt Michelle, and Delana.

The shark at the play area.

Even Grandpa's iphone in his shirt pocket.

Christmas #3 - Back in Berkeley with the Ruiz Clan

Jeremy came full circle and celebrated his third Christmas with Uncle Phil, Aunt Rose, and Uncle Rich in Berkeley.
Jeremy was very helpful making sure Aunt Rose unwrapped her present just right.

He really liked his new Ugg boots and can't wait to try them out in Tahoe.

Christmas #2 - Sunny Southern Cal

For Christmas #2 we moved on to Seal Beach to visit Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the socal crew.

Jeremy made the rounds at the Portner Christmas Party on December 23rd.

Grandma and Grandpa created "Winter Wonderland" full of snowmen, Santa Claus, and Rudolph. Jeremy was fasinated with Winter Wonderland every night, especially Christmas Eve.

Christmas morning was a treat with lots of fun presents.
And the fun continued with a present of cool cars from Aunty Jeannie!

But, Christmas wouldn't be complete without time with Great Gramma Kay and Papa Gene.

Christmas #1 - At home in Berkeley

This was Jeremy's 2nd Christmas, but since we had lots of family to celebrate with we stretched the holiday into 3 segments. Christmas #1 was spent at home with Mom and Dad.

Lots of presents to open, but the little ornaments on our miniature tree fascinated Jeremy the most.

Jeremy (and Dad) love playing hoops with his new Cal basketball hoop. Not sure, if this was a gift for Jeremy or Dad.
