Road Trip to Guanajuato
Guanajuato, about an hour from Leon, was a beautiful historical town. We rented this house in the heart of the the town.
Our house was walking distance to the center of town where we enjoyed dinner the first night. All the sites, restaurants, street entertainment, and plazas were right downtown too. We fell in love with the cobblestone streets, and colorful buildings in this town.
Typical statue.
Fiesta!
John hadn't visited in 6 year. He had a wonderful time catching up with all the family. Luckily we saw everyone at Cruz's mother's birthday.
Mariachis played beautiful music into the evening. It was a nice rest after eating the best Mexican food EVER, playing in the pool, dancing to the Northern Mexican live band, and playing a little soccer. Who knew you could do so much in one party??
Jeremy took some time out to sit by the pool and catch up with the girls.

Oakland Zoo
We recently visited the Oakland Zoo and had a blast. We went once before when Jeremy was about 6 months old and it was more of a trip for us than him. This time he enjoyed watching the animals and could make the sounds for a lion, tiger, and monkey.
Doesn't this look like a person in a monkey suit! The monkeys were on fire the day we visited, they put on quite a show.

Attack of the birds...
For those of us who grew up in Seal Beach El Dorado Park holds happy memories of feeding the ducks. Grandma and Grandpa wanted to share that peaceful experience with Jeremy. Well, in the past 30+ years the ducks have multiplied quite well. The birds swarmed Jeremy when he arrived with his bread. Luckily Grandpa was there to protect him!
